IntraUterine Insemination

Intrauterine Insemination (or IUI) is a safe, gentle procedure that can be done in the comfort of your home or one of our offices. Similar to a Pap smear, IUIs are done using a speculum to visualize the cervix of the person wishing to become pregnant. A thin sterile catheter is then inserted into the uterus, through the cervical opening, and the sperm sample is placed. IUI is used for a variety of reasons for all types of families and have twice the success rate as vaginal inseminations. We welcome partners and/or other support to be a part of the process and can work with washed fresh or frozen sperm. We encourage creating a relaxed and sacred space to begin your journey of welcoming your baby.
We also offer “sperm washing” which can be done in your home with known donors immediately prior to the IUI procedure
